Sunday, April 15, 2012: Wow! Not only was the April 15 Hog Roast an over-the-top success as a fundraiser, the solidarity of the encouragement and support for Chad throughout Dallas County continues. Many thanks to everyone, and a special thanks to the sponsors, volunteers, and other participants who made the event such a success, including some great surprise speakers!
Sunday, March 18, 2012: Our Town Hall Meeting in Perry was a good one. A sizeable group of citizens attended to meet Sheriff Chad Leonard and learn more about the Dallas County Sheriff's Office accomplishments, responsibilities, and plans for the future.
February 29, 2012: Considering the cold and windy night in the middle of the week, we were pleased by the number of folks who came to the Town Hall meeting at Dahl's in Clive, including Clive Mayor Scott Cirksena. The Sheriff was very well prepared with a power point presentation to highlight and explain the depth of functions under the Sheriff's Office. Residents learned about the Sheriff's additional criminal justice system responsibilities such as safeguarding the Courthouse and details on prisoner requirements and jail operations.
February 28, 2012: Continued encouragement at the Dallas County GOP Central Committee meeting tonight. Sheriff Leonard spoke briefly about his continued commitment to provide quality law enforcement to all residents of Dallas County. He asked the members for their vote in the primary election of June 5th and received overwhelming support. Additionally, he thanked the members for the huge turnout at the campaign kick-off of February 9th and the generous donations received.
February 9, 2012:
Had a really great crowd; lots of support and generosity at the kick-off fundraiser at the Raccoon Valley Community Bldg in Adel tonight. Thanks to our hosts and all of you who attended! Now on to a Clive Town Hall Meeting, some house parties that more of Chad's supporters have scheduled, another Town Hall in the works, and then the big (don't miss this one) county-wide Hog Roast at the Dallas County Fairground in April.
January 26, 2012: Sheriff Leonard received overwhelming support at the Dallas County GOP Central Committee meeting. There was a huge attendance, and our volunteer list got a tremendous boost. Thanks to all of you!
